This site is to help connect us for Secret Santa. We will use "amacdonaldchristmas.neocities.org" as a landing page for all things Christmas. On this site you will find links to Google Forms (Santa and his reindeer) to answer a couple of helpful questions about you, a link to Elfster (the elf) to find out your person, the FAQ (star), and the answers to the Google Form (presents).
What is Elfster?
Elfster is an external web browser based application that anonymously determines who you will receive for Christmas. Elfster allows everyone to provide links to items they specifically want, but it is not required. Additionally, Elfster allows anonymous messages between you and the person you are shopping for, providing the ability to ask clarifying questions!If you do not want to continue returning to this site you will receive an E-mail providing all of the information you need to know and a direct link to Elfster.
Notes on Elfster
On Elfster, I am placing everyone's government name to minimize confusion on who you have. Some people from last year have different idetification names this year and are marked as sister or child accounts. This is because Elfster recognized your email but not your new name based on the previously set name, however, this should not be a probelm- just a simple note! Next, we all can link items to our wishlist (optional) if there is something specific you want this year. Although, the wishlist is viewable to every person apart of this exchange, not just your Secret Santa. So be mindful when looking at the wishlist. Finally, spend the amount of money that makes you comfortable. No one is expected to reach the $150 mark, it was an arbitrary number selected as a caping for some individuals who require a defined limit.
Why a Google Form?
Instead of filling out a paper form about yourself, we will be using a Google Form to be answering questions. That way we all have timely access to the questions and I can upload the answers to the site so everyone can view it. The questions will potentially help your Secret Santa shop or the basic level questions can give a general idea what type of stocking stuffers you may like (stocking stuffers are free game and does not require participation).
Did you stumble on this page first and don't know where to start?
You can return back to the home page and click on Santa to answer the Google Form! Eventually, I will input all the answers on the "answers" page which is attached to the image of a present box. The image of the elf will link you to Elfster, and the image of the star is your True-North (where you currently are) answering all frequently asked questions.
